March 2-3, 2026: 2-Day Water Distribution Operations – 14 Contact Hrs./1.4 CEUs
- This class is a condensed overview of potable water delivery throughout a typical community water distribution system from treated supply to residential and industrial user. Students will review the basic water distribution processes, equipment and methods to better prepare for common questions encountered on a water distribution operator certification examination.
March 4-5, 2026: 2-Day Water Distribution Math, Gr. 1-2 – 14 Contact Hrs./1.4 CEUs
- A scientific calculator is required for this math class.
- Operators will learn how to use the step-by-step method, utilize algebraic formulas, and define conversions to find the solutions to volume, pounds, dosage / demand /residual and PSI problems. These principles are reinforced with practical water math application problems.
March 6, 2026: Disinfection of Public Water Supply – 7 Contact Hrs./0.7 CEUs
- Students will study the subject of disinfection from a summary of Federal Drinking Water Regulations to Chlorine Safety. Student will learn to identify the properties of chlorine, dosage, demand and residual problems, breakpoint chlorination, disinfection by-products (THM’s), alternative disinfectants together with liquid and gas chlorination practice problems.
