Water Treatment Operations Grades 3-4

This class provides a review of all the primary aspects of conventional surface water treatment plant operations in
lieu of the Long-Term Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Regulations (Stage 2) and the new Disinfection byproduct regulations for operators grades 1-4. Contained in the conventional filtration section will be specific emphasis on coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation and filtration, including chemical pre and post treatments.
Some additional aspects of Advanced Treatment such as membranes, dissolved air flotation and reverse osmosis are
also included with advances in solids contact clarification including ballast sand and similar other operations.
